Grubble Eats Grubble Eats

Frequently asked questions

The short version of what people ask about Grubble Eats.

How is Grubble Eats different from DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Yelp?

Those apps are catalogs — built for one person scrolling alone, then ordering. Grubble Eats is built for the moment before that: the group that can't agree where to eat. Instead of browsing endless listings, everyone swipes the same stack together and Grubble lands the decision. We're not another place to find restaurants. We're how your group actually picks one.

How does the AI work?

Grubble runs on Anthropic’s Claude across four surfaces: a Recommender that turns a craving ("hungover, walking distance") into a tailored stack, per-card blurbs that explain why you’ll like a spot, a Tiebreaker that resolves a group that can’t converge, and a Recipe Assistant for cook-at-home nights. The AI is the connective tissue that makes both solo and group decisions feel intentional, not random.

What's the business model?

Free to use during launch. Down the road, revenue will come from restaurant partnerships and premium features — but we’re deliberately prioritizing adoption and trust first. Get the group-decision primitive right, earn daily usage, then monetize in ways that don’t compromise it.

When does it launch on iOS and Android?

Public beta is on the web now. Native iOS and Android apps follow in Q3 2026, built in Flutter from the same codebase as the web app. Join the waitlist and we’ll tell you the moment they ship.

How do group sessions work?

Create a session, share the code with your friends, and everyone swipes the same stack on their own phone. You match when the group converges on a spot — or instantly when someone Super Grubs a place another swiper already liked. No accounts required; the session code is the only auth.

Who is the team behind Grubble Eats?

Grubble Eats is solo-founded by James Blanchard under parent company Tenvaro. It’s an AI-augmented solo build: a Cloudflare backend (Workers + D1) for sessions and waitlist, Flutter for native and web, and Claude powering the AI surfaces. Lean by design — shipping fast without a big team.
